The real problem here isn't competing data. The real problem is that we peasants aren't obeying our leftist, elitist, intellectual betters the way they think we should.
How dare we question their authority in every matter. After all, they've spent years in their ivory towered echo chambers hearing how smart they are and how much better they are than ordinary people.
And the idea that we would look at all their failed predictions and incorrect pronouncements, and actually question them, obviously we're too stupid for our own good.
And until the unwashed rabble learns to properly respect and obey our self-professed betters, there will be conflict.
Unfortunately, there are genuine experts diligently going about their work, improving the world for their fellow men, but they get drowned out by the noise from wannabe experts. Or their work gets muddied and lost in the flood of bs created by hacks pushing some political agenda or seeking personal gain.
