This is a French tradition, a classic Bouche de Noël (yule log) made by wife. The decorations, leaves, berries, mushrooms are made out of Marange and Marzipan. . the pine cones made with small slivers of almond. Inside is a rolled cake with chestnut chocolate icing between the rolls. This cannot be bought in a store and if it is, it's a pale imitation of the real thing. Christmas dinner is usually after midnight mass so ours was this evening. It was amazing!

Merry Christmas to all here!! Time to start packing up the gifts to take over to my daughter's house where the whole gang will congregate to exchange gifts and eat. After that I will probably take a nap!!
