I will second the dowel and exacto knife trimmer. I went to table saw route the bandsaw route and a few other things.And absolutely nothing can touch a fitted dowel with a blade.


Also, what sort of angle constitutes a normal throat/ chamber cone? What is considered a long cone?

And I suppose I should ask, if the longer cone is producing less pressure, what is the trade off that prevents all manufacturers from making longer chamber cones?

I had the throat on my merkels chamber lengthened. It seemed like a nice idea when I wanted to be shooting steel through it. Briley did it when they installed the tubes.
