Really nice rifle and video, but I'm curious. Do you know if the checkering been re-cut? That checkering, with so many crossed and crooked lines, is nowhere near the quality of rest of the rifle. Nothing like I would expect from such a well known maker.

What nice rifle. I would like to have an unmolested Gibbs Farquharson.

I came close to buying a varmint rifle made from a Gibbs Farquharson but the consignment shop got greedy when I showed interest and the price became very high. I would have to rebarrel and restock that action and still not have the real thing.
