Hello all. It's has been a very, very long time since I have been on here, and usually when I stop by its just to read the incredible amount of information available here.
Now I have a question. I hope I'm posting this in the right place.

In about 1991 or 1992 I was given a brand new American Arms Brittany SxS shotgun. I thought at the time (not knowing what I didn't know) that I would find electors superior to extractors. Well 30+ years later all my other guns have extractors and I prefer them.

Can my electors somehow be converted to extractors?

Yes. Simply disable the ejectors in the forend. Remove the springs and the ejector work (sears and hammers) and you’ll have an extractor gun.

Thank you. Will they slightly lift to make the shells easier to pick out? Or would some further modification be needed, if possible?

The lump on the action knuckle will still contact the extractor stems and slightly lift the cartridges out of the barrels.
