I need some help on a gun I’m restoring and the Google is giving me mixed information.
I picked up a nice 685. Receiver is flawless. I’m going to get the barrels slow rust blued (as well as the trigger guard and forend iron so they all match). The wood however, it has sling swivels. As the gunsmith I’m using said he can sweat off the stud off the barrels pre bluing I thought about replacing the wood.
Does any one know, or can confirm wood from an older 686 could fit?
