in early August I bought a gun from Holt's and opted to use their in-house exporter Chordline. There was some mixup in options or instructions and somehow the gun didn't get to Chordline for packing until 20 October.


I'm in no hurry but would like to see the gun before Christmas. However, just received this from Holt's. This is just FYI.

Blame the democrats and feel better.

Just got a set of bicycle rims from England that were ordered on the 12th of this month, today. Not a gun, obviously, but, shipping of standard consumer stuff goes on while the government is closed, and prevented from distribution of mostly welfare of various forms, it would seem. The seller built a 10% price cut into the sale, covering the tariff nicely, but, shipping was spendy, nonetheless, doable.

Tough to find what I was looking for, here. I tried.

If the democrats knew their shutdown was preventing people from from receiving purchased guns they’d never open the government back up

What was the record before- for the government being shut down for the most days? 35 days. Who was in office when that record was set before? Donald Trump, of course. What a coincidence. He has a habit of being in an office when Americans die. Not surprising.

Which Americans are dying Jimmy W? Unless they were helpers on the drug boats the president is blowing to smithereens!!!!

DimmyW has brain damage, which prevents him from understanding that there have been 14 votes to reopen the government, and his Anti-Gun Democrats have voted against it every time. All Republicans are voting in favor of keeping the Government open by supporting the same clean CR that has been supported by Democrats several times in the past.

It appears that the Democrat shutdown is solely responsible for longer ATF processing wait times, which understandably has Argo44 in a tizzy.

Personally, I hope the shutdown goes on for at least 60 days, so Trump will then have the right to terminate roughly 700,000 mostly useless Federal employees. It's a shame that Federal employees who do not work during shutdowns get back-pay when it is all over. At best, they should have to apply for State Unemployment Benefits, and lose a Waiting Week, just like those in the private sector.

DimmyW also doesn't comprehend that the drug smugglers killed by Trump's orders are NOT American citizens. They are members of violent drug cartels, and are involved in bringing in the drugs that killed over 400,000 Americans during the Biden Administration. Biden and Democrats did nothing to stop it. In fact, they opened the borders and made it worse. Poor ignorant DimmyW is worried about the "Rights" of violent drug cartel smugglers, but doesn't care a bit about over 100,000 of his fellow CITIZENS being killed by drug overdoses every year. Talk about screwed-up priorities!

DimmyW's brain damage also seems to be preventing him from remembering that it was the Anti-gun Democrat Barack Hussein Obama who ordered drone strikes on several actual American citizens, and killed them without due process.
