Lots of them in the Transylvanian alps, and Carpathians where there are yearly bear attacks and they have recently been transplanted back to the Pyrenees, They are also found in the Alps, notably N. Italy. There's a well known video of a bear following an Italian boy down a mountain near Trentino while his mother almost has a heart attack.




That kid speaking in a strong Trentino accent was so calm - telling his mother to be quiet.. . .then saying in the end in Italian, "That was so cool!!"
