I've been asked by a couple of members to repeat the steps in posting a photo. Here are my notes. IMGUR has changed its formate from time to time. I have to resort to the "old format" then an extra step after downloading. But anywhere here it is again:
I'll post instructions for both IMGUR and JPGBOX. Imgur has changed its format which makes it periodically harder to use.
(The jpgbox illustrated download of Shostakovich's theme from "The Gadfly" used in the series "Really, Ace of Spies" was apt and worth listening to again for old timers. . .no further comment.)
IMGUR
Open a free account on IMGUR. then follow these directions: 1). Images 2). Post new 3) drag photo to new post square 4) go back to images 5) click on the photo 6) click the code button and post
Visual 1: Visual 2:
JPGBOX instructios:
Sign into free JPGBOX. 1) Click on upload image from computer 2) Look at the titles on your desktop and select the image you want; click upload 3) Go to jpgbox and super copy the text that is displayed and post it on BBS
A picture is worth a thousand words. Go ahead, post a photo for us.
I’ll wait.
Best, Ted
You gotta admit that Argo44 has once again needlessly over- complicated the very simple process of posting photos here.
For starters, I've never opened an account, joined, or signed into a photo hosting site in order to post a pic here.. That could conceivably change some day. But for now, it is simply a waste of my time...

I haven’t seen all of your posts, but if you have a good way of posting pictures, I would love to know the technical details. I use Imgur but not often and seem to have to relearn things every time I use it.
Just to clarify a point raised a couple of times. Yes, you can post photos on IMGUR without a (free) account. But you won't be able to access your previously posted photos. Better to get an account and have a personal library you can easily use. It doesn't cost anything.
and 8bore, I understand. . Thought using that photo as an illustration was apt.
