circa 1875, 28in. black powder only reproved damascus barrels (in 2025), the rib engraved 'E.M. REILLY & CO. 16. NEW OXFORD STREET. LONDON & PARIS.', the breech end with Celtic latticework, 2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, carved fences, sidelever opening, rebounding back-action locks, border engraving, retaining much apparently original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/4in. stock including steel buttplate, Hackett-type snap-on splinter fore-end with horn finial, weight 4lb. 10oz., together with its period burgundy slip
