my Dad had a hunting knife that he bought while overseas while he was in the Air Force, he gutted so many deer and resharpened it so many times that
the blade geometry changed so much that he thought he could no longer use it. I would like to know if anyone knows of a bladesmith that would
be able to regrind the blade so that it could be used again for it's intend purpose.

I’ve never worked with a blade smith, but I’ve considered it, and I might someday. In my research, I’ve noticed there are several knife maker associations around the country. Here is a list of the American Bladesmith Society’s master bladesmiths. They also have a journeyman list. I would think re-grinding. that blade is a pretty easy task for an experienced person. Good luck!

Craig Steketee is in Missouri. He forges his own Damascus and builds really neat fixed blade knives. He might even sell you one.

On checking on Mr. Steketee, it seems that there is no recent mention of his website, apparently because of his ill health. Also no evidence that son, Adam, skilled as he is, will be continuing the business. Too bad.
