Hey all, quick update. They will take the gun back. But, now their dancing around about the return shipping.
They want it shipped from the FFL I used, no problem there.
I did write an email saying that I shouldn't be responsible for the return shipping as they sold me a misrepresented gun.
Haven't heard but, so we'll see!
Stay well

Greg You just made Jimmy’s day, Greg. JR You just don't get tired of being wrong, do you, Jill? I actually feel sorry for him and I wish him the best. And I hope everything works out for him.

I bet they will make it right. I have no idea what it cost now to send a gun back via UPS but when a customer purchased a gun from me and I charged shipping I charged $40. I am sure its more now.

Greg You just made Jimmy’s day, Greg. JR You just don't get tired of being wrong, do you, Jill? I actually feel sorry for him and I wish him the best. And I hope everything works out for him. On the other hand, when you used the term, "left wing" and had the gall to bring up the subject of politics, THAT sure made my day. Especially after what we hear on the news day after day. Then again, I do picture you stalking little children like your buddies, Trump and Epstein. And I know you wish they would turn off those noisy windmills because you don't want them giving you cancer. And I picture you continuously looking at your watch, wondering why those 24 hours after Trump got into office are up and Russia is still bombing Ukraine. No, Jill, it takes a lot of nerve for someone who loves Trump to even mention the topic of politics right now. Then again, maybe you aren't out of work like so many other Americans or without health care like millions of others are. Nope, there you go projecting again. And I can see that big L right there on your forehead. Especially when you don't even know how I voted............. And just so you know, Ken Nelson. You are wrong. I would be very comfortable buying a gun from Ed at a gun show. As long as he didn't have to ship it to me. And don't get me wrong. I have nothing against gun dealers in general. I mainly have a problem with the transfer of an expensive item when it is not from a dealer's hands to my hands. And not seeing the gun in person. It is difficult enough to buy a gun at a gun show and having the gun tied closed so that you can't open the gun or dry fire the gun with SNAP caps. But to not even be able to look at the gun ? Not for me. Paranoia? Careful? I don't worry about name calling from insignificant little people. Whatever. You might want to take a couple of aspirin and chill, Jimmy. That TDS has got you pretty far out in the weeds, and you don't need to get any farther into the Democrat lunatic fringe's propaganda, though, on second thought, you're probably too far gone already. Go do whatever you want on any gun purchasing procedures, because nobody here cares, though it has been somewhat entertaining. yet regretfully so in large part, to see and read your rants. Have a day... JR

I think you guys run a little high strung and do a fine job keeping the blood pressure medication companies fat and happy. I just called the gun library and got the deal of the day. I couldn't yell my CC number fast enough. No quesitons, no complaints. I guess it remains to be seen what arrives, but I won't lose any sleep now or later on that. However, I was quite irritated they wouldn't accept my C&R - "company policy" Thats $20 wasted on an FFL transfer, now that chaps my hide!

Afternoon gentlemen. As of this post it is 2:55 pm CST. They tend to take listings down when a gun sells. Ithaca Flues Grade 5 - https://www.cabelas.com/p/101852645$1500.00. Deal of the day? Since this is a Cabelas/Bass Pro thread, I just literally missed out on this one when I called by 5 minutes the salesman said. Such is the story of my life I guess.

Grade 5 without checkered side panels ? Is that the way they were, then ? Odd buttplate, too

There was a time when if you bought a used gun from a Cabela's Gun Library, you could return it no questions asked. Eventually,Cabela's-- and I'm not sure this was before or after the Bass Pro merger-- because that same policy was in force on pretty much everything--they dropped that policy. They claimed too many people were abusing it . Getting everything they needed for a trip, then returning it all for a refund.
