I miss the days when there were more guys like Tom Bryant, Bill Taylor, and B.C. Kinsey. Made dealing with Cabela's on guns anenjoyable experience.

After listening to you, John, you would be one of the first people to complain and bellyache on this board about something. That is why, after 20 years you have always projected the image of being the kickEE to the curb. And it sounds like you just admitted it. So, I will enjoy being in my cocoon little world and having things my way. Good luck. No, Jimmy, YOU are the one doing the projecting and you know it. Paranoia and liberal left-wing ideology go pretty much hand-in-hand, and you're a perfect example. Figures in your case... JR

I have a Cabela's near me. I would probably buy a gun from them. But I would never buy a gun online that I cannot see and handle myself. I have a standard rule I will never ship a gun of mine. You're only asking for trouble when you do that. I am constantly looking at guns on the internet, but buying a gun without seeing it first hand is definitely a No-No for me. We have heard one horror story after another on here for years of people shipping guns and buying them on the Internet. Some people do it, but I won't. Good luck if you do. You might want to tamp down that paranoia, Jimmy. The world is full of risks, and buying, shipping, and receiving firearms, done properly, is pretty low on the scale. The "horror stories" you refer to are miniscule compared to the vast majority of clean deals. Most reputable gun dealers don't want to bother with guys like you anyway, so you're safely cocooned in your little world. JR Ask the right questions. In writing. Get the answers in writing. Have an inspection period upon receipt. Not that complicated. But for some, their nerves can’t manage it. All the better for the rest of us. A little less competition. Not that complicated? All the better for the rest of us? And you say that less than an hour after you tell a guy he got cheated and he should send the gun back? Now that's hilarious!! Thank you for starting my day with a laugh, Canvasback.🤣🤣🤣 I remember a running offensive minded football coach who once who said, "If you pass the ball, three things can happen. And two of them are bad. Well, when you ship a gun or buy one and have it shipped to you- 1, It can get lost. 2. Get stolen. 3. Get damaged 4. Get totally destroyed beyond repair. 5. It can turn out to be something you didn't want (so you have to go through the hassle of sending it back, waiting to get your money back) and all that mess that goes with it. 6. Accept something that isn't just quite what you wanted, but you decide to keep it anyway being- not quite as happy as you should be. Oh well. 7. OR everything can turn out great for you. SO, when you ship a gun or buy a gun on line a half dozen (plus) things can happen and five of them are bad. And John, when I walk into a gun show, dealers are slobbering all over their table to sell me a gun. If they don't want to, the guy at the next table will. If I spend my money I want exactly what I want or I become the "kicker to the curb". After listening to you, John, you would be one of the first people to complain and bellyache on this board about something. That is why, after 20 years you have always projected the image of being the kickEE to the curb. And it sounds like you just admitted it. So, I will enjoy being in my cocoon little world and having things my way. Good luck. Jimmy, not sure if the problem is reading or comprehension. In my list of things to do to safeguard one's self I said ask the right questions, get the right answers in writing AND GET A INSPECTION PERIOD. In case comprehension is the problem, I'll spell it out for you. You get an inspection period so IF THE GUN TURNS OUT TO BE NOT AS DESCRIBED, YOU HAVE PRE-AGREED TO BE ABLE TO RETURN IT FOR A REFUND!
The world cries out for such: he is needed & needed badly- the man who can carry a message to Garcia

Hey all, quick update. They will take the gun back. But, now their dancing around about the return shipping.
They want it shipped from the FFL I used, no problem there.
I did write an email saying that I shouldn't be responsible for the return shipping as they sold me a misrepresented gun.
Haven't heard but, so we'll see!
Stay well
Greg
