Stan: My then rural Pennsylvania family have always treasured finding these little artifacts from the past. My paternal grandfather would walk specific farm fields after a good rain, something he did well into his 80s. He had also found some pre-revolutionary English coins (pennies) in that area over the years and he always theorized that some significant conflicts had occurred there in the now-distant past.

I believe "knapping" is the term for the forming of flint and chert into arrowheads and spear points?

It is done with antlers if I remember correctly.
