Bless you, Tom Bryant for the courage it takes to post this. Steady as you go and, as another poster said, call on the name of Jesus, Romans 10:13 Godspeed friend... JR
Be strong, be of good courage. God bless America, long live the Republic.

Tom, You and I have only talked once years ago, but you were most helpful. I always have been told a man can't really live until he is prepared to die. From the comments and sentiments written here, it is easy to conclude you have had a life well lived. From your post, it is obvious you have prepared for your death. You have a peace that brings comfort. But still it is sad when friends leave us. For us who know we will soon see those friends again there also is comfort. May God bless you with an abundance of His strength and comfort as you face the challenges of the days ahead and give you the joy of knowing you are going Home. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Tom, so sorry to hear this! I always enjoyed our visits. I’ll never forget the first time I met you in person. My good friend Roger and I were traveling to Dennis Potters double gun class in Trinidad,CO , we stopped in the Sydney NE store for some fishing line and several hours later left with two model 21s , 10 flats of shells and a spool of line! Gods speed my old friend!

Tom, thank you for letting us know about your health issues and reason for your departure from this forum. That was very thoughtful. I always enjoyed your Posts.
God bless you and your family.

Tom, Although I do not believe I know you, I would like to think we crossed paths at some point in Cabela's.
I wish the best for you, your family, and your friends.

Adios, Tom. I will always remember the Saratoga Cast and Blasts you put together for the Rocky Mountain Vintagers. Some of my fondest memories. Catch up with you down the road.

Tom, these past weeks I have been able to do little more among this fraternity than pause occasionally for a quick look. I happened to be “in” the day you posted and your words were deeply felt as I was sitting bedside in hospice with my 99 year old aunt back here in the Midwest of my youth. The nearness of eternity in these moments heightens every interaction, even an online one. I don’t know if you are still on this side of the “great chasm fixed” but if so I want you to know that you have been near to mind each day since and not forgotten in prayer.
This year is the 300th anniversary of the landing of the father and mother of the American branch of our family. (1725 in the Penn Colony). My aunt and I have talked repeatedly about their persecution as Christians in the Palatinate of southwest Germany and how even in the loss of everything they would not recant. When Wm. Penn heard of these hard working Palatines he threw the door open to his colony in the New World and our grandparents were some of those who made their way there. I’ve learned bits and pieces of their lives but always wondered if they stayed true to the end. Incredibly, I found a copy of his will on line. I wonder no longer. After the perfunctory “I _______, being of sound mind, etc” I was stunned by the first paragraph:
“Imprimis, I commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God; assuredly believing he will receive the Same into his Everlasting Kingdom, through the Merits of Jesus Christ, my dear redeemer in whom I believe.”
Imprimis - first and surpreme - how indeed it is.
My aunt was sobered by this, as was I, and her faith, which is solid, was enflamed. I desire only the same for you, friend.
