All, I want to thank you for your friendship and information. I have always appreciated (most) of the information I’ve gleaned from this site. After all these many years I find myself withdrawing from the forum - not by choice but because of health.
I am entering my fourth week of hospice care and can feel the end drawing near. I’ve been diabetic for 65+ years and the related conditions are closing in with congestive heart failure wreaking havoc on my system.
I wish you all the best and hope the site will continue to provide useful information to the members. As for me, I’m approaching this next journey as the best to come. You all be well.

Tom, God Bless and thanks for everything. We had a saying in the intelligence community, "If it's not written, it didn't happen." You have left a legacy in your help here. And, we are all following you. Gene Williams

Tom, my old friend, it doesn't surprise me at all that you would plan to leave so well. I regret that we never got to meet on this plane, but I will be looking for you on the other side.
Safe travels and, Well Done!
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Tom:
So hard to read this.
I will be thinking of you when I step from my old truck in two weeks and close my action on two shells. I will drink-in the sights, sounds and smells of the north woods in autumn and try to remember all my blessings when I step forward onto the trail.
You were one of those blessings Tom, and I thank you for that.
Godspeed fella.
Lloyd

Tom, don't know you, but hope you consider yourself fortunate to know that you are nearing the end of your suffering here...
And, wishing you excitement in anticipation of a peaceful journey to what comes next...

Tom. So sorry to hear of your health issues. Just wanted to let you know, on a personal level, I greatly enjoyed your hospitality, friendship and conversation over the years. That last time I saw you in Sidney I think you were just about to leave Cabelas. I always looked forward to stopping in and visiting with you. Tim Jones remembers fondly that time we stopped in Sidney (on our way east to do some bird hunting) to say hello and you let us play with all the best stuff in the gunroom. Those were the days!! To this day I’ve never seen so many beautiful Fabbris in 1 room. What a treat! Our visits at the Flatwater shoot were always enjoyable and fun too!! You’re a good man. I’m happy I got to know you, I’m better for it. Thank you again for everything. It’s been a lot of fun and I’ll always cherish the fond memories. Give your old bird dogs a pat on the head for me, I bet they’re eagerly waiting for you!!!
Your friend,
Dustin
