EJ Churchill looks like a very civilized place to shoot.
Has testing been done with notox shot and the 410? Could steel be made effective in the 410?

You can buy 3 inch .410 Bismuth cartridges.
At almost £2 a shot it would be affordable for a small game day but I can’t see them becoming popular for clay shooting.
I believe Winchester steel 3” .410 cartridges are being imported but I understand that by the time that they get here they are not much cheaper than the British bismuth loadings.

For .410 water fowling pursuits I'd try hand loading tungsten. I was given enough components to try a few, by an avid turkey hunting friend. I just haven't loaded them yet, but I will.

Introduced to .410 about a year or so ago and love it. It has helped me fight a flinch I had developed. Thanks for posting. The video shows one of my gripes that I admit to Not mentioning to offenders. Dogs on shooting ranges. They have much better hearing than we do and on a range have no protection, so imagine how loud it must seem to them.

I won the Deep River .410 event the first year it was held. I had some 3" shells in my pouch, but my gun was chambered for 2 1/2", so I couldn't use the 3" shells. Choke will always substitute for shot load if you know how to shoot, and back when, I knew how to shoot, or I thought I did. My reloads were pretty "loud", and were tested on the pattern board, so I was confident. In my mind, it was the best sporting clays event I had ever won. My win was with a GH grade Parker.

I would love to shoot the .410 event at the Southern again. This time, I'll be eighty years old and there won't be any winning this time around. If I shoot, it will be with the same Parker I won with years ago.

I have never seen but one Parker in 410. It was at auction and never being able to afford it I at least got to pick it up and cuddle it till I was told to PUT THAT DOWN by one of the attendants. It brought 22,000 plus ten percent premium and taxes. Man said he would never shoot it he just always wanted one. Must be nice to have that kind of cash to spend "just cause I wanted one".
