I’m sorry for your loss, sir.

Just memorizing the fastest and most difficult fingerings for those medley’s is extraordinarily difficult.
But, to be the world’s best, you have to do all that, and sound as 1.

There's another option here. If it's worth two days and quite interesting justification, such an aficionado would be most tolerant and welcoming of the spice of life.

It depends on what your definition of spice is, Craigd.
There isn’t much posted about driven game shooting on this site that meets with any positive resonance.
At least piping meets with decent craic.

It’s fun. Walked up game can be a challenge because it’s mostly side hilling in knee high heather (brush). Tough walking.

Sounds like chukar in the Mojave, but we get rattlesnakes as a bonus.

Walking the heather is a lot like walking the sage flats.
I’ve never seen one, but they claim there are “ Black adders” out there in it.
I would say that sage hens evolved very similarly to red grouse.
Very narrow environmental niche animals.

The highest, best use of bagpipes is playing Amazing Grace. The pipes just take that hymn to another level.

I like Bagpipes.

It's a long way to the top...
