I have an over abundance of field load RST 12 and 16 gauge lead and bismuth shotshells I would like to list in the “for sale” section here. Any advice shipping these by the box and flat? Ship USPS? Regulations?

Ammunition can not be shipped by the USPS

UPS regulations. The box must be appropriately labeled and taken to a UPS Customer Center, not a USP Store, or through a UPS Scheduled Pickup Account

You can also ship with FedEx Ground but there is a pre-approval process

UPS closed all their customer centers last year. You have create a label at home with the hazmat symbol and schedule a home pickup. That’s my understanding at least.

Set up an account with UPS on line and have them pick them up at your house. You will need to put them in a strong cardboard box and apply a hazmat label. Hazmat labels can be bought on line, but I just found them on line and saved them to my hard drive and printed them out on my home printer. Just tape them to the cardboard box and you are good to go.

Phoenix still has UPS Customer Centers, down in the city

You can no longer ship firearms through Customer Centers however

Go to BPI's website. Read their instructions for shipping ammunition to them for testing. Copy their Haz Mat label, provided for that purpose.

I have always used Fed Ex Ground (You must specify ground shipping with any carrier). They just happened to have a friendly counter at my last address. UPS or Speedee should work just as well if they have good counter workers. USPS is out, as noted above.
