Pointed. To my knowledge, Parker Bros. never offered or produced any guns with flat-topped checkering.

I just have well work checkering. The Lines are all there and defined but the tops of the diamonds are worn down.

The stock will an easy re-checker but I am not so sure about the forend wood.

Re-cutting well-worn checkering is tough duty for even the most talented. It can be done, but it's easily butchered. Find a really great artist of the trade if you proceed.
