At out local clay ground I have to look carefully at the cartridges on offer as a lot of 1 oz./ 28 gram (or less) loads are offered in 70mm cases which shouldn’t be used in my vintage 2 1/2” guns.

Unfortunately not a 700 but a 400 series. Note top extension third bite grip. most of the commemorative ovals are from pre WW2.

The quality of the 1950s and 1960s guns was a lot better than the 1970s guns, as all the old chaps retired. Same happened to the revolvers.

My 600 has the semi-pistol grip (but not the single trigger) as seen in the video. It makes a huge difference; so much better.
