You could also try balloons and paint smiley faces on them. And you can get those plastic owls and try them, too. They did that where I used to work to keep the birds from pooping all over everything. I don't know if it really worked or not.
The owls worked on my deck and down at my pool. I haven't seen a pigeon around here in years. Oh, I forgot to mention that I did have a pair of Coopers hawks with a nest in a big cottonwood tree in my yard!! That MAY have helped with the pigeon population. But, for the purposes of this thread, the owls did it!!!
Oh yes! The owls with the heads that move work best.
