Well I told myself that I wasn't going to buy anymore hammer double rifles. I've cheated. Bought this one yesterday morning. W.W. GREENER - A .577-500 NO.2 EXP. ROTARY-UNDERLEVER DOUBLE HAMMER RIFLE, serial no. 26442, for 1888, 28in. Greener trade mark steel barrels, the undersides of the breech-end engraved 'HENRY'S RIFLING A&T. 509/10.', engine-turned matt rib, bead fore-sight, standing notch rear sight with one folding leaf sight with white metal inlaid sight lines, the breech-end engraved 'W.W. GREENER. 68 HAYMARKET. LONDON.', and with acanthus scroll detailing, Jones patent rotary-underlever, carved percussion fences, back-action locks with rebounding hammers, border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. pistolgrip stock with steel pistolgrip cap, including rubber recoil pad, fore-end with grip-release catch, sling eyes, weight 10lb. 4oz. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/uugEbi3.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/CdRz20P.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/uXTYlHS.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/kFWCdF2.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/wNhDUuz.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/1qeRzoY.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/O0i08sF.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/rbkx4XU.jpg)

A perfect specimen of the gun makers art. Gorgeous rifle. Do you plan to shoot it?

Everything I own has to go bang. I've reloaded .46 Ballard rimfire, .44, .38, .32, .25 rimfires, pinfire from 8 bore rifle to 16 ga and lots of different BPE cartridges. I see no use for a firearm if it doesn't go bang.

I'm at 13 DRs. I have to get another one to get out from under that unlucky number. (Only 7 are hammer DRs)
