Our club keeps growing We use to have a waiting list to join so they keep raising the dues and said we will have a cap. They kept raising the cap and the dues
I know we have over 800 members
The only time I see most of the members is when they had a day of free shooting and free food
Place is packed then

Wow! It would be interesting to see your demographics.
A shotgun only club around here tends to end up at around 150 members. But we have many clubs. Some are skeet/sporting clays focused. Some Trap only. Some Skeet and 5-stand. Kind of depends on space, and member demo. But you can shoot 7 days a week if you want.
That said, people should recognize that if they don't support the seasonal events that clubs offer, small clubs die out. My club has 2 annual events that are all hands on deck events. They allow the club to maintain tip-top condition facilities, and add equipment. We sell our used equipment to smaller clubs to help them stay current.
I know it seem outrageous and wasteful, but buying an annual membership at a club you might only go to 2x a year, could go a long way toward keeping one open.
Out there doing it best I can.

WE have a lot of big corporate shoots, 4 H shoots, big skeet shoots, big sporting clays shoots. Generally monday and tues they have the club closed for the special event shoots. We have more folks and shoots for sporting clays. second is skeet. No one interested in trap. I have to shoot trap by myself. I like our wobble trap. In Houston, two clubs are private, one is open to the public.
We have 4 sporting clay courses, 9 skeet, maybe 4-5 traps, and 5 stand. No sure how many 5 stand as I only shot it one. Wed/Thurs, steak night.

There is a club in my area that was seeing a decline in shooting, so they offered ''Open Shooting'', one night a week. No membership needed and member pricing. Started at $3.00, then $4 then $5.00. It was good for a about 4 - 5 years, untill a few greedy members got in charge and raised the prices up on the non members. It did not take long and most of them if not all stopped coming. Raised the prices to $8.00 Now they are back to the same low number of shooters as they were when they started the ''open shooting'' and are hurting for money. It was the non members who pulled them out out of the hole. These prices are for trap or skeet.
