Looks like the recent shop operating under the W. Richards name is no longer in business in York. At least the website - https://www.wrichardsguns.co.uk/ - is no longer up and their Facebook page has been inactive for several years. Does anyone have new contact info? I have a couple questions about a recently acquired 20ga. Thank you in advance. ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/8D9t9K5D/c5-D4-9541-Edit.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/B9KFd92/c5-D4-9546-Edit.jpg)

Keith, Our own Lloyd owns a sweet little 16 gauge boxlock ejector by that firm, and, I’m thinking he researched them a bit when he got that gun. His is old, but, it is a looker, and he has used it in the past to great effect on grouse.
I’m thinking a few others here own those guns. Perhaps a few here can point you in the right direction.
Side note, did you ever do anything with your Dad’s Charlin?
Good luck.
Best, Ted

Nice unit! (like the swamped rib). My gun was from their Preston shop (circa 1905) & my fences aren't anywhere near that elaborate. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/hYQCWtbh.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/0JCWcnOh.jpg)

I couldn't pass this one up since that engraving on the fences matches a gun I already own, although the maker is still a mystery on that one. And I have no way to determine the dates on either one other than that they are post 1904. ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/4Z2JhHhZ/5-D4-3498-Edit.jpg)

I shouldn't do this, but... ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/qD60bDIh.jpg) can't help myself. This was in the Fall 2023. Look on the Crossed Halberds stamp for a date code (reflecting the year of its 1st trip through proof). It should be there.
