Just ran across these shots from last year (& the last day)...

What is it about the lighting on a late Fall day? This was October the 30th, 2024.

I had been there for over 2-months by this time and had packed-up in the AM, it seemed almost dreamlike during the afternoon (the long [2-day] drive home started the very next morning).

60 days now and counting...Lord keep me healthy.

I think most of the Lefever hammer guns were early partnerships with other makers.

As far as the major manufacturers (on this side of the pond), it was seemingly just Parker, Smith, Remington, & Ithaca. Minor players like Crescent, Baker, and perhaps Tobin made a few as well (I'm sure I'm missing some here, Stevens was one as well).

Of the majors mentioned, Parker and Smith seem to be the most prolific, producing even highly-graded guns as well (I suspect Remington produced a few here too).

Tobin catalogued a hammer gun, early on. I don’t believe a Tobin hammer gun has ever turned up, however.

Best,
Ted
