OP 53caddy Boxlock Joined: Jul 2024 Posts: 7 Likes: 1	Picked up a feather weight 20 ga field today that would like to send it somewhere to get it restored to its former glory. Does any have recommendations who to send it to? Most post i found was 5 years ago and a lot has changed from then.

Smith will cost far more than the value of the firearm. You did not provide specifics or images, but the gun may simply need correct conservation/preservation rather than a costly (correctly performed) full restoration.

Refurbishing is a more reasonable option. Please check the first question in the "Maintenance and Restoration" FAQ on the LCSCA site https://lcsca.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=274&club_id=43784 If you'll let us know your general location, we might be able to recommend someone near you. Does the gun have a HOT? There are very few smiths able to work on HOTs; Jerry Andrews is one.
