Tubeset knitter's initials are >>JT<<. A little play North to South with the forend off. Someone probably fed it a healthy diet of higher pressure 70mm cartridges. Purdey Wings / Sideclips are not as common on Austrian, Belgian, French scatterguns as they are on German versions.

Indeed the engraving is modest & along French lines. What I cannot determine if this is a >>G<< for Galand akin to a trademark or is it just something that resembles a >>G<< thru happenstance?
