Long story, but my bride and I once spent a weekend down at the Broadmoor several years ago now (25?) through her work, and it was opulent in the extreme. Unlike anything I'd ever experienced before (or since).
Somebody else was paying so...why the heck not, right? I'm afraid I'm too-frugal to do something like that on my own nickel, but... I'd jump at the chance to do it again (as long as somebody else was picking up the tab).
I believe the total bill for that last "weekend visit" (& all the pampering) was something like $3K and I'm fairly sure it would be a bit more now. $5K for the two nights and 3 days wouldn't surprise me a bit.
