Well, that is a major bummer, but at least it's somewhere in a system. So far, I have led a charmed life and have not had any of these fiascos.

Like leave your crescent wrench hanging from the emergency brake cable for 2 months? I must have forgotten to pull the wrench when I got done adjusting the cable over 2 months and several hundred miles ago.

We were sitting by the fire at elk camp when my son saw something red hanging below the body line…

Well, console yourself with the fact it wasn’t a Snap-On or a Blue Point adjustable wrench that was hanging around under the truck.

And, that you didn’t loose it. The word “China” on a tool is just the manufacturer telling you it technically is disposable, and you shouldn’t feel bad when it gets lost or breaks.

I just mailed a $4,800 check second day delivery to an FFL. When I told the seller he asked if I was in a hurry. I told him no but for an extra $10 I wanted to make sure he got the check.

Roger, wouldn't Registered or Priority Mail have accomplished the same thing at a lower price? Just asking, not assuming.

There was a time when USPS guaranteed overnight delivery, or, you got your money back. The rules are changing, but, I have called them out twice on missed deliveries (a few hours late, guns, in both cases) and got every penny of what I paid for the service, back.

It wasn’t $10, either.

Best,
Ted

Greg, I’m sorry to hear what happened. I suggest be patient. Last year I purchased a fly rod while in Denver, and it was shipped back to my home in Florida via USPS. It didn’t really get lost, but stalled out, probably in a shipping container somewhere in between, and I ended up waiting for it for a month. For context, it was supposed to arrive back in Florida in about four days. I was very frustrated waiting on it. I eventually received it in good condition. Just for laughs, here’s a video about somebody who did something really stupid!

Have I ever done something stupid? There's not enough band width here to list all of the stupid things I've done over my 68 years.

The latest was a concrete project gone way wrong. The stupidly on my part was trusting that myself & the Mexican contactor were on the same page along with not trusting my instincts when I knew things weren't right before they made the pour. Long story made short, what this came down too was 15 yards of concrete poured on a Friday morning and then removed & hauled off the next Tuesday. One of the dumbest most expensive things I've ever done--I was calling this episode of stupidity, Concrete Hell.
