I too am a Poor Country Boy, born on the Gulf and rode a Bus up hill both ways to School where I was afforded a Public Education thru talented teachers that heavily invested in me and forced me to rise to my full potential to Master Writing, Reading & Arithmetic. In addition to my primary language my English teacher drove Latin down my throat like a Goose destined for Pate and my foreign language teacher spoke at least 7 languages and you just never knew which one was going to come out..... Neither one would every tell you how to spell a word and always counted w/ >>Look it Up.<< I have thanked all but one for their Nobel Efforts thus far.
I really don't know much about Austrian & German weapons but I took good notes from those who did and came before me. Most are long gone now.
