I read yesterday of your new pup and then, coincidentally, today read Sheldon’s “High Cover” from his Tranquility tales of a century ago as the Judge and the Captain discuss the death of their hunting companion, the Captain’s spaniel Pepper, and the possibility of another dog. Then, as now, the head says things reasonable while the heart is more subtle and deep. And persuasive. Glad your heart won out.
Your little gal has a beautiful face and clearly has already endeared herself to her new home. I hope she’s all you hope for.
