Seems to be a common disease in this country right now.

Looks like there is hope for Romania https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...-of-romanias-rerun-presidential-electionI must confess to not so much outrage fatigue, as, at this point in my life, the need to pick and choose my outrage. I'm afraid climate change, eagle lead poisoning, and even corruption (surprise) in academics and government are not high on my list. Manipulation and mutilation of children by the mentally ill and pedophiles is. Normalizing depravity is. I do care about the assaults on our 2nd Amendment rights, but made the choice to live in a highly gun friendly state. To which 100s of blue staters are moving every day, for retirement and economic reasons. And with them comes their blue state political beliefs. So Arizona is changing. All these new folks need houses, and the state is heating up and running out of water. So is the Ogallala Aquifer. I'm concerned, but not outraged. If it helps to vent one's outrage on this Forum, as far as Dave allows, carry on. But a little pastoral and professional advice - global rage is toxic. For relationships and your health. Let some of it go. Pick what matters, or at least that which you can do something about. Screw the ticks, spray on some DEET (DEET induced toxic encephalopathy otherwise) and go for a walk

....Manipulation and mutilation of children by the mentally ill and pedophiles is. Normalizing depravity is.... It's more a normalizing of criminality. I am not the biggest fan of excusing the brutalizing of innocents, by categorizing criminals as being in need of medical treatment. This is something I see far more in daily life, than anti 2Aers, posing as gun friends. If fentanyl prices are driven up by policy, and crimes against law abiding citizens increase to pay for the difference, I hope that does not become yet another point of 'reasonable' discussion to expand the medical excuse industry.

DEET is a much better product to repel ticks than Pyrethrin. But DEET may have some side effects, and is banned in some countries. Picardin is considered to be safer than DEET, and like DEET, may be used on bare skin. You'd think someone with a PhD in Ecology would know the difference between Pyrethrin and Permethrin. Pyrethrin is a natural pesticide and pest repellent derived from chrysanthemums and marigolds. Permethrin is manmade, much stronger, and is commonly used to treat clothing to kill and repel ticks in a 0.5% concentration. Neither Pyrethrin or Permethrin should be applied to bare skin.

Oh those stupid scientists, wasting entire careers studying complex systems when any man in the street knows far more than they could ever hope to learn? Who cares that tens of thousands of atmospheric scientists and ecologists are scared spitless of climate change? What do they know? Every hunter knows far more about animal ecology and wildlife management than the credulous clowns who spend lifetimes on all that silly 'research'. Fortunately our current government is getting rid of so-called 'science', so those fools won't be bothering us any more. What a predictably lame response, and dishonest to boot. I'd like LGF to show us proof that "our current government is getting rid of so-called science". But leave it to Libtards and Democrats to defend spending taxpayer dollars on junk science supporting the goofy idea that there are more than two sexes, or to waste our tax dollars to study why monkeys throw turds. We could just ask Princess Monkey Stevie to learn about those things at no cost. Lyme disease? It's difficult to ignore the strong circumstantial evidence that it was weaponized at the Plum Island laboratory near Old Lyme, Connecticut. You know, kind of the way Dr. Anthony Fauci lied about funding gain of function research on Coronaviruses at a bio-weapons lab in Wuhan, China. Trust the Science, but don't forget to give Dr. Fauci a preemptive presidential pardon... lest he get investigated for being the one of the greatest mass murderers in human history. Both LGF and the Nutty Professor have continued to wring their hands about so-called climate change, but for all their precious decades of science knowledge, neither can prove the reason with certainty. How many times do we need to hear that the polar ice caps will be ice free in an only a few years, and then see those predictions were totally wrong, before we become skeptical? While I believe the world may be slightly warming, I haven't seen any conclusive proof that atmospheric CO2 is the culprit... especially when the world has had warmer climate conditions with lower CO2 concentrations. Personally, I think the greatest contributor to climate change in Earth's history is that big ball of hydrogen fusion energy in the sky that we call the Sun, along with volcanic super-eruptions, and asteroid impacts. Lecturing about global warming and manmade CO2 isn't going to change that, and neither is driving a full sized truck across the country to pick up a puppy ( as the Nutty Professor did). Poor DimmyW is undoubtedly burned to a crisp by now, as each day breaks another high temperature all time record in his area. For some odd reason, it's a pretty normal Spring here, perhaps a bit cooler and wetter than average. I did notice the Carpenter bees are back... first week of May... just like always. I wonder why they didn't trust the science, and become active months ago??? And for those who want to get rid of CO2... be careful what you wish for: https://unionrayo.com/en/earth-oxygen-disappearance-prediction/
