Just for clarity I guess that Larry was meaning a 200 bird day split between a party of 6-8 guns, rather than 200 birds per gun ( 1200 -1600 bag total ).

And no one has mentioned Alpha-Gal, another tick borne disease. I know several people with this. Couple of them went for years without a diagnosis.

Oh those stupid scientists, wasting entire careers studying complex systems when any man in the street knows far more than they could ever hope to learn? Who cares that tens of thousands of atmospheric scientists and ecologists are scared spitless of climate change? What do they know? Every hunter knows far more about animal ecology and wildlife management than the credulous clowns who spend lifetimes on all that silly 'research'. Fortunately our current government is getting rid of so-called 'science', so those fools won't be bothering us any more. It would certainly help your cause if some of those scientists hadn't ever been caught fudging the numbers! Not just "caught" but openly changing the methodology to ensure they get the "right" numbers. If their alarmist pals didn't make wild predictions of climate apocalypse in the next few years, only to consistently be proven dead wrong! 50 years of it. If it weren't obvious to anyone who looks how much of their research funding is based on touting the party line! All these scientists and their supporters do themselves no favours by trying to be the loudest in the room and shutting down alternate discussions. They do themselves and their cause no favours by also adopting the Lefiist cause du jour. I note Greta has now pivoted to anti Israeli activism. Isn't the scientific method based on open minded inquiry rather than pushing establish dogma?

The club I shoot at most often releases 35,000 pheasant from Sept 1st to the end of December. Not an altogether dissimilar number from the one calculated earlier regarding the "Big" English shoots.
At 35,000 birds, you need 1450 clubs or shoots releasing birds. At 25,000 birds you need 2000 clubs or shoots. Seems unlikely there is that number of shoots going on in England but really I have no clue.

Isn't the scientific method based on open minded inquiry rather than pushing establish dogma? Well, you certainly are disqualified to be a scientist based on that criterion. Meanwhile the facts continue to support climate change and the human influence on it. Day after day, the data roll in and day after day the deniers keep wailing. You may not l8ke it, but the world continues to warm up.

Short & simple review of the evidence of global warming from the know nothing eggheads at NASA, and there are pictures Just google NASA Climate Change Evidence What is not so clear is the definitive why. From the Royal Society "Many complex processes shape our climate" https://royalsociety.org/news-resou...vidence-causes/basics-of-climate-change/And there is no doubt that disease carrying ticks are moving north in the U.S. Maybe to hang out with the progressives in Ontario?

Having lived and worked in the country most of my life I've seen and heard of much anecdotal evidence for warming of the country I was in.But I much prefer the the position of Dr. Bjorn Lomborg that we don't have to destroy mankind and civilization in order to deal with the changing climate.

Human activity, and gas composition in the atmosphere pretty much discounted in this study: https://archive.ipcc.ch/ipccreports/far/wg_I/ipcc_far_wg_I_chapter_07.pdfMust be gremlins, I guess. I think scientists should dress like NASCAR drivers, with those who funded their study proudly displayed every time one is publicly released. Best, Ted
