Hey all, what's the best cold blue out there?

Just needed for small touch ups, nothing major

Also, any tips or tricks for applying it.

Clean and degrease the area

Warm the area ( I use HOT tap water)

let dry

apply cold blue ( Q-tip once in bottle, never put back in)

wait,

burnish the area with 000 steel wool

Repeat until proper color

Finally use 3 in 1 oil to seal and finish the area

I like Outers Gun Blue but each different steel has a favorite

+1 on the Oxpho Blue. I like the cream over the liquid. Easier to control IME.

Agree on the Oxpho Blue. Have been using it with great success to do exactly what you mention, Greg.
