Leading up to those historic battles was the ride of Paul Revere. Until Sundance started posting it, yearly, I had never had the opportunity to read in Revere’s own hand the accounts of that ride, because, hey, why would the public school system think that was important?

It is an excellent read.

Most of the founding fathers died penniless, broken men. I find it sobering, and remain thankful men such as these saw to the overthrow of English tyranny.
