When I bought a 8x57JR German made Manton of Calcutta BLNE from Paul Roberts he recommended that I use the S&B rounds for targets and practice and the RWS for Boar (which sadly I never shot with it) and Deer (which I did).

Sounds like he was entirely right.

By a strange quirk if I put RWS Berdan primed in one barrel and newer Boxer primed RWS it would regulate perfectly (L1 was probably me letting the tip if the post go into the black).

I should never have sold that rifle.
