In 7x57R and 7x65R I use the H mantel (similar to partition) after having used the Torpedo Ideal bullet a couple times (I found the TIG too violent). In the 8x57IR I am still use ca.early 1970s factory Norma ammo, where I bought the residual ammo stock from the local "K" Mart when they stopped selling ammo. In the 8x57IRS, I used hand loaded Norma bullets for years, until I ran out and now use H-mantel. In a 9.3x74 (which turned out to be a 9.3x72R S&S) only T-Mantel would shoot round groups. They killed every Red Deer I shot with them, but there were no exit wounds. After IDing the gun as chambered for the S&S cartridge, I switched to the old Speer 250 bullet in it as well as the 9.3x57 and 9.3x62. Ith 9.3x74R double is regulated for the 293 gr. Torpedo Universal Bullet (TUG), so that bullet is the one I use. In other misc. cartridges I prefer Partition bullets for hunting (except for .261 bullets I make from .264" and cannot size the partition). This is only my opinion, based on a lot of years of experience and I don't expect anyone to share it.
Mike
