Thanks Ford but I was hoping to replicate the current set-up..... I have loaded a few rounds with VV N140 and the aforementioned PPU Bullets.

You might very well be able to do that by tweaking the powder charge, if the gun is for one of the boys, let him do the shooting.

Indeed Ford and empirically trying to derive and narrow down the prospects. Yes, Gebrüder Ellenburg needs to do the heavy lifting on the shooting. But the Hensold Scope is quite nice.

Well, I loaded a handful of rounds with a reduced load used by a shooter which was 32 grains of VV N140 and the PPU 196 grain bullet & it too fell low @ 100 metres. Velocity average was around 475 m/s. I will work on uppin' the ante... I guess I should be glad I picked up a nice stash of S&B, which the rifle likes.
