Here's one very important thing to note, before this Off-Topic Political Thread gets locked:

Notice that virtually all of the Liberal Left Democrats and closet Liberal Democrats are not doing their usual whining and crying about this sacred Forum being soiled by politics.

That's because they think they have something of real substance to use to attack Trump.

They are quite happy to have and to contribute to this Off-Topic Political Thread because they see the recent correction in the Stock Market. It doesn't matter that a correction has been predicted for months, and analysts say it was long overdue. It doesn't matter that there have been far worse corrections or crashes. This is their opportunity to slam Trump.

Now, if the tables were turned, and Conservatives were rightly pointing out all of Biden's many failures and intentional obstruction of Immigration law, It would be a far different story.

All of these Liberal Left clowns would be crying and complaining to Dave that political Threads will be the ruination of this Forum.

They would all be clutching their pearls, and whining about all of the people that will be driven away.

They would be lecturing us about our inability to stay on the topic of Double Guns.

They would be whining that they only come here to get away from politics and the news, and want nothing more than for this to be a purely firearms related discussion place.

Some, like rocky mtn bill, would be making a solemn vow to never again engage in politics here... for the umpteenth time.

In short, what we see here is that these guys are a bunch of totally dishonest phonies, and all their crying about Political Threads is a disingenuous acting job, intended to fool the Site Administrator, and get him to silence any political speech they dislike.

And really, I no longer care what the British members here think of Trump or our system. Who are they to tell us what is right or wrong? They come from a country that is the size of Michigan, and once ruled 1/4 of the world... but lost almost all of it within 100 years. What little remains, they are rapidly losing to the Left and to Muslim invaders. And they gave up most of their gun rights with barely any fight.

Anyway, I am glad this Thread has lasted as long as it did. A couple more anti-Trumpers have come out of their Libtard closet. I especially liked the "I'm a Reagan Republican" act from tut. Isn't it odd that the only times he ever engages in political discussions here, it is to be critical of Trump, Republicans, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, etc.

I was born at night... but it wasn't last night.

D- today. The spelling and punctuation is better, in this example, but, prof, try to be clearer in your fabrications-you’ve never actually “seen” me.

I do not see any crumbling infrastructure in Duluth. Lots of new construction going on. Pretty nice place. But I do not live in Duluth. 50 acres downtown was not really what I had in mind. We aint there yet. Another 2-3 weeks should do it. You enjoy your little suburban utopia there, pecking away in your basement. For a guy that whines about Minnesota and especially the cities, you sure do stick tight. Maybe YOU should try Detroit for a change of pace. You would fit right in.

Thanks bill, don't know if I'll have the time? Between my therapy sessions, and sculpting my favorite barstool to my behind, it doesn't leave much time for when I'm sober. Here's an idea, I'll keep posting only when I'm drunk, kind of like seeing this great country through the eyes of a fentanyl bender. There you go, maybe your heart will bleed for an old addict, instead of a drunk, hmmm.

AS THE ORIGINAL POSTER OF THIS THREAD, may I say thank you to Raimey, Drew and Stephen Howell who passed on some very useful information answering my original question.

As to the other people who then decided to exercise their keyboard, perhaps I can ask them to now ignore this topic and go somewhere else. I have had over 30 e-mails alerting me to posts which are of no use or interest to me.

You can disagree with some things Trump has done and still like most of what he has done. I don't know of a Politician in my life I totally agree with all the time. All of them do some dumb stuff, just like most people. Is what it is.

Kavanaugh? Not sure where that came from. Don't recall even mentioning his name before.

Well, you didn't actually mention Kavanaugh's name when you chimed in to this old Thread to give your criticism of him:

https://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showthreaded&Number=524408

What you said in that Thread got my attention. You made but one post, and it certainly wasn't supportive And I remembered it because I've noticed that you seem to have no problems with being openly critical of Trump and pro-gun Republicans, yet you are silent when anti-gun Democrats do much worse things. I'd call it a pattern of circumstantial evidence. Maybe you are just holding Trump and Republicans to a higher standard. But I don't recall you once posting any criticism of Biden, Obama, or Clinton, despite the grave threat they posed to gun owners, and the great damage they did to the U.S.

You may have noticed, as I have, that Liberal Democrats Supreme Court nominees always swear under oath during confirmation hearings, that they will respect and uphold the 2nd Amendment. Yet invariably, they are perjuring themselves, and go on to almost universally rule against gun owners and gun manufacturers when push comes to shove. Had I recalled you being at all critical of Kagan or Sotomoyer for example, I might be more inclined to feel you weren't consciously leaning Left when you were critical of Kavanaugh.

I'm encouraged to hear that Trade Reps from numerous countries have been calling Trump to renegotiate terms and tariffs. I remain confident that he doesn't want most tariffs to be permanent, and is merely using them as his big stick to motivate changes that would be positive for our country.

I vote almost 100% Republican these days, because they are much more likely to respect Gun Rights and the U.S. Constitution. They are far from perfect, and I've mentioned that I refused to give my vote to ex-Senator Pat Toomey (R) after he turned on gun owners. I believe Nixon made a serious mistake by opening trade relations with China. They could barely feed themselves before he helped turn them into a manufacturing powerhouse. They repaid us by using much of that wealth to build a military to fight us.

I wish I could have voted for better Republicans than either Bush, but they were far better than their Democrat opponents. I acknowledge that George H.W. Bush negotiated NAFTA, and Bill Clinton signed it. That was the biggie that created the "Giant sucking sound" that Ross Perot said described our jobs and much of our middle class wealth leaving the U.S.

I've lost three good jobs largely or totally due to foreign trade. No crying Federal workers showed sympathy to me. No Democrats offered to set me up with free health care, food, cell phones, or $400.00 per night hotel rooms. I always managed to get more education or training to remain competitive, and I've done well. But many more people have not. And living in the Rust Belt, I've seen the lasting damage done by insane trade policies, and the idea that Americans could somehow compete with people who live in shacks and cardboard boxes. I think about how lower earnings and less Corporate tax income has led to massive deficits. I've seen this all lead to a deterioration of our infrastructure. Then on top of all that, we hear from DOGE of the massive waste, fraud, and abuse of our tax dollars. And I can't help but wonder how much better it might have been for all of us if so many mistakes or intentional blunders had not been made, and the wealth had remained here and government spent our tax dollars wisely. Considering how well Trump managed trade and the economy during his last term, while under constant assault and threat of impeachment and false accusations... I'm willing to support his plan now.

Well, Hahahaha, there it is! I suppose several of us should just leave this Thread, now that Crashing Bore has informed us all he really wanted was to have a Libtard Echo Chamber for people afflicted with TDS!

“I told you once before that there were two times for making big money, one in the up-building of a country and the other in its destruction. Slow money on the up-building, fast money in the crack-up. Remember my words. Perhaps they may be of use to you some day. (Rhett Butler)”
