Friend of mine placed an order for a Upland Gun Company sxs
28 gauge made in Italy. About a 6k gun. Will that increase by 20 percent now? Delivery this coming October.

Correct, as do recent auction purchases. The tariffs cost my largest client over 50K yesterday, another client and board member told me he lost over 80K yesterday in the market drop. I'm not counting my own losses, but they are significant as I have quite a bit of inventory that is still overseas.

The Smoot-Hawley tarrifs of 1929 were particularly interesting as well. They are credited with exerbating the Great Depression and causing some fairly destructive trade wars. Reed Smoot and Willis Hawley were the co-ceaters of this act (and Herbert Hoover signed them into law). I guess I'll need to read a bit more about them (because what I've read so-far online is from a serious Trump critic). Amity Shlaes is a highly-credentialed economist that has written extensively about that period of history (author of the "Forgotten Man", an in-depth study of the Great Depresson). I'll have to see if I can find her take on it all.

My gun coming from the UK has gone up in price I suspect because of the chief buffoon's "disaster" day of yesterday. Not to worry, though the U.S. stock market has only lost $9.6 trillion in value since Inauguration Day, and I will not be buying any more guns.

This is the unfortunate truth of the matter.

I am doing fine, found 20ga Sterlingworth in very good shape for $900.
Got email recently that European 2.5" 20ga shells are back in stock. Life is good!

Well at least he is still getting in his round of golf today.

Remember when y'all bitched that Obama played too much golf on the job? Those were The Good Ol' Days.
