I will try to get all this info in a concise final form for this specific platform, but Ernst Schlegelmilch was actually the owner of Thieme & Schlegelmilch when this platform of his design was made.

It is curious that there are so few (actually I only know of my gun) examples of his guns? You would think at least some would have made it back to the states after WW1 or WW2?

With Patent Protection filed in the U.S. of A., I would expect to see some examples in the U.S. of A. that were not War Trophies.
