Yea, the tariffs were negotiated under Trump. Guess what? They are being negotiated, again.

The Canadian lady, hardly a spigot of right wing news, spelled quite a few things out:

Stupid is having to post the same news article twice for some dummy to read.

I always enjoyed her op-eds before she disappeared from the MSM 20 years ago.

For any non Canadians who think she’s exaggerating, she is not. And her assessment of both the underlying reasons for and the path of our decline and falls is spot on. She nailed it. In every way. And it all started with Quebec and what we call the Laurentian Elites. They are the monied core of political/academic/government regulated industry leaders who control the country from the three way axis of Ottawa/Montreal/Toronto.

Brent, you would do well to move onto a subject other than our unbelievably protected dairy industry. It’s clear you know little about it. It has been transformed into a Marxist showpiece that benefits an ever decreasing number of Quebec dairy farmers on the backs of every single Canadian, but especially working class families. Price controls and production controls thar cost Canadian consumers billions annually while destroying family farms at the same time. Millions of gallons of milk thrown out rather than allowing production quota overages into the market. It’s a national embarrassment. And it penalizes those who can afford it the least.

Since the supply management protection racket began in the 1970s the number of dairy farms has plummeted from 175,000 to under 10,000. This isn't simply consolidation. Due to our arcane party leadership election rules that really allow outsiders to game the system, it became patently obvious that non-conservatives associated with the dairy farmers of Quebec had joined the Conservative Party of Canada to skewer the results and have the newly elected leader (in 2017) signal this by ostentatiously drinking a big glass of milk in the middle of his victory speech. What's is going on, one might ask? It's all in aid of kowtowing to Quebec.
