unfortunately that is the sentiment that Trump is promoting. There seems to be a lot of this type of sentiment from the poorly politically educated common man in the USA. I have been called many things traveling from Arizona to Texas. Be a while before I spend my leisure money in the US.
Interestingly I just gt back from a month in Asia and just like in the late 80's early 90's american backpack tourists are sprouting Canadian and Australian flags on their pack. Afraid to be Americans when the going gets tough.
An example of the going getting “tough”:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_StethemThe “poorly, politically, educated” seem to be completely on board with the fraud, graft, and waste being uncovered in US government. Be wonderful, if the graft receivers get their fingers slammed when the door on that closes.
https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/03/the-right-direction.phpI bought gas in Canada on the last cross country motorcycle trip I took. That was half a lifetime ago, and, rest assured, I won’t spend another penny there again. I am going to write the Trump administration with the suggestion that people in Canada that are dying due to the results of their “free health care” (worth every penny, no doubt) should be hit with a 100% tariff on same when they travel here in search of actual, lifesaving healthcare.
Welcome to the third world. One of your own making.
Best,
Ted
