Will used to come into the Gun Library in Sidney when he was visiting the Cabela’s corporate offices. I wasn’t sure if impressed with what a quality gentleman he was then, and this donation just reinforces my opinion. Though I’m not overly enamored with a couple of these organizations, the money raised from this auction will definitely do lots of good. I’ll be following the sale to see what they bring.

Interesting story. I was at Gordy and Sons last May and heard a similar story about 10 Purdey .410 hammer guns that Mr. Gordy commissioned. Purdey had never made such a gun and needed to make 10 to make it worth while. Mr. Gordy agreed to purchase all 10. I was told that Mr. Gordy and each of his two sons have one and there is one left for sale in their in-store vault. I wonder if Mr Primos's .410 is one of those 10?

BTW - if in the Houston area it is well worth the stop. Great people and enthusiastic to show you their wares.

RIA had the collection on display (under glass) at the recent Pheasants Forever Fest in Kansas City. They were, of course, stunning.
