I was informed that Geoffroy Gournet reportedly passed away. can anyone confirm anything? I am out of the country right now.

I certainly hope this is not the case. That definitely makes two of us. Geoffroy has a knack for being able to duplicate engraving styles from far in the past, as well as being able to lay down his own unique patterns. Best, Ted

Had a gun in his que and heard from my smith that he did pass away. He had no details on what happened

Awful news, Geoffroy was a fine gentleman.
He did a few projects for me of the highest quality.
He will be missed, prayers for his family.

I have lost a number of (too many) engraver friends over the years. Me too, Sam. I had met and gotten to know the late Lynton McKenzie and Lew (Lewis) Sanchez. It is heartbreaking to see such talent go away.
