Aziz, Welcome to the Board. Plenty of knowledgeable people here to help. On photos, key is to understand that you have to put your pictures on an internet host site such as http://www.photobucket.com. I've posted an explanation of how to use photobucket on the thread about a "Lefever BE 20 gauge." Alternatively you can email to me and I'll post here for you if you prefer. Regards, Tim

Does anyone have any idea what a 20ga model 30 would have cost in 1921 or thereabouts?

20 ga model 30E was $400 in the 1923 VL&D catalog, choice of 26" or 28" Siemen-Martin bbls, guns weighed between 5 and 5.5 pounds.

I am looking at the VL&D sales book for that period. They did not list the retail prices in the books until 1927 and even then most of the 30E's sold at $400 as Randall indicated. There are some exceptions, however. One is marked as having sold at $350, another at $450 and another at $585. There is no apparent reason for the differences.

Were Francotte's of that era custom ordered or just a production gun?
