tut, as there is waste and fraud in the civilian side of gubmint...
no doubt the same is rampant on the military side as well...
hopefully after the purge, we will have a leaner meaner fightin machiner... I have zero doubt there is some waste. 40 percent is a crapload of cuts and they have a week to get it all together and submit it to Hegsith. I worked for 30 years trying to keep Russia, China and bad actors at bay. You don't hold them back by giving the war fighters less. It's exactly what Clinton and Carter did. Weaken the military at your own peril. It will come back and bite you down the road. Always has. Some of the war fighters are guys dressed up in women’s uniform, guys dressed up in drag and makeup, pregnant women in combat regiments, and research continues on green combat vehicles. Somewhere, the notion was lost that the purpose of the military was the efficient killing of people, and breaking things. The navy has completely screwed up a littoral combat ship program, with 6 new ships mothballed while 9 are in the process of being built. The Afghanistan surrender and retreat was the epitome of incompetence, cowardice, and malfeasance, leaving a state of the art US airbase and blueprints for running same in Chicom hands, and the loss of $80 billion in war material in terrorist hands. In a sane world, a 40% cut would be huge. In the grifting, dishonest, incompetent pedo joe as president world we just went through, it might not be a big deal. Best, Ted

I didn't see any of those GIs when I was in Baghdad or Afghanistan or Pakistan carrying an M4. They were soldiers and kept us Intel collectors alive.
