Interesting question, Paul. I've never loaded a roll-crimped shell more than once. If you are using smokeless powder and the hull body remains OK, I'm going to guess roll-crimping might last for a few more reloads, especially with plastic hulls. Plastic hulls don't roll as pretty as paper though, IME.
For getting the fiber wads in my 12 ga. Federal paper shells, I use a 10 ga. wad starter on my MEC Grabber. Don't do much of it anymore.
