With the thief leaving cash and radar detector could it be possible that someone you know and knows your habits stole your gun?

We are all creatures of habit and if someone you knew was aware that you shoot on a given night and you have your gun in the truck this could be a ripe moment for someone you know to take advantage.

Just a thought.

Regrads, Gordon

At one time I started to insure all of my guns and then had second thoughts when I found out that records from the insurance company can be gotten into by the public. Now that I am retired I just stay home and wear a gun around the house all day. I do spend a lot of time looking in the mirror and repeating in a raspy voice, "Go ahead, make my day." Once in a while I'll even scream, "ARE YOU TALKIN' TO ME?!!" " ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?!!"

A good while ago, I had 71 guns, mostly doubles, stolen from my gun room at home. I wont comment on the "investigaion" at the tiime of theft. I will say, that about 12 years later, an eager Sheriffs deputy, working the computer, found and got returned 2 of them. I have just decided to keep the numbers of guns I own down, keep them vaulted and when traveling with me in sight when possible. Good Luck. PS I had a rider on my insurance policy, but the agent had forgotten to put in the paperwork...I got a thousand bucks..

Sorry to hear of your loss, keep the faith. I had four high grade SXS's stolen from my car at the Southern last Spring. With the help of the police and a PI in Sanford, NC all were retreived in perfect condition a month ago. The PI was the key and invaluable in the investigation, you might consider this. Just a thought, good luck. I was very fortunate !!
